For over 40 years medical journals have documented the inadequacies of pain care- and its easy to say this tragic anti-pattern will continue- due to lack of will of society to truly care about the suffering of people in pain. Another report, another article, another podcast on the inadequacy of pain care will still be all too little to change pain care- a new and improved strategy is needed to help people in pain. A new dream, a new vision needs to be forged from the hearts of people who really care about suffering- so far outside of a few disorganized groups pain care still suffers from a thousand uncaring ways. Another 500,000 studies on pain wont improve pain care much as long as there is no real improvement in caring. So for now the dried voices of people in pain remain mute and meaningless and distant as fading stars whil some researchers earn a living after harming rat hind paws.
